About Us

Gjuha Jonë is an Albanian language school created by parents for parents, dedicated to nurturing our children's connection to their heritage through language learning. Our teachers transform the learning experience into an adventure that children eagerly anticipate each week.

We exist to ensure the Albanian language is preserved and passed on to the next generation. For us, language is more than words. We believe it is the bridge that connects our children to their heritage, culture and identity. Without it, they risk losing their ability to communicate with grandparents, understand family stories and take pride in their roots.

At Gjuha Jonë, we believe that learning Albanian should be a joyful, engaging experience where children not only learn the language but live it.

Our mission is to provide immersive, interactive Albanian language education for children aged 5+ through a Montessori-inspired, screen-free approach. Our program focuses on spoken language first, ensuring children develop real-life communication skills that help them build confidence and strengthen family bonds.

Through storytelling, role-play, music, and movement, our students absorb Albanian naturally, just as they learned their first language. We are more than a language school—we are a community dedicated to celebrating and preserving our beautiful heritage.

We believe in active, hands-on learning, where children absorb Albanian naturally through music, movement, conversation, and storytelling. Inspired by Montessori principles, our lessons foster curiosity and independence, helping children engage with language in a meaningful way. By focusing on practical spoken Albanian, we ensure children develop the confidence to connect with grandparents, family in Albania, and their cultural community.

Our approach is inspired by the famous poem by Naim Frashëri:

"Gjuha jonë sa e mirë!
Sa e ëmbël, sa e gjerë!
Sa e lehtë, sa e lirë!
Sa e bukur, sa e vlerë!"
